Britton was a Supply Pastor in the Genesee Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church - 1909-1911. He later became a minister with the Who-So-Ever Will Chapel/First Congregational Church of Sea Breeze and Vicinity, Rochester, Monroe Co., New York - November 1917-May 1925. On October 9, 1966 this church became Durand United Church of Christ.
