A graveside service for Mabel Ellen Moore Vail will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Washougal City Cemetery.
Mrs. Vail died of causes related to a urinary tract infection Sunday in a Vancouver nursing home. She was 88.
Born Dec. 18, 1903, in Hood River, Mrs. Vail was a member of St. Mary of Guadalupe Church in Ridgefield. She had lived in Clark County for more than 50 years.
Her husband, Ralph, died in 1989.
Survivors include sons, Burleigh W. of Vancouver, Ralph E. of Santa Fe, N.M., and David S. of Washougal; daughters, Linda J. Brummett and Barbara, both of Bend, Ore., Dorothy G. Holbrook of Vancouver, Leasta V. Skuzeski of Hermiston, Ore., and Kathleen E. Fox of Battle Ground; brothers, Frank D. Moore of Forest Grove, Ore., and Robert E. Moore of Oak Harbor, Wash.; 24 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Alzheimer's Support System of Southwest Washington, P.O. Box 5064, Vancouver, Wash. 98668.
