Donna Irene Gillespie, age 62, passed away early Wednesday afternoon at Heartland of Marion Nursing Center. She was born in Marion on February 20, 1944 to William and Vada (Gorenflo) Lee who both preceded her in death. Donna graduated from Harding High School in 1962, had belonged to the Rebecah Lodge and was a homemaker as well as a member of Salem Evangelical Church. Surviving are her son; Christopher (Sabrina) Gillespie of Heath, her step-son; Walter Mercado of Nebraska, 4 step-daughters; Fiona Mercado, Erica Mercado and Julia Mercado, all of Nebraska and Milady Mercado of Florida, her 3 sisters; Maxine (Terry) Record, Patricia (Geary) Smith and Carol (Harold) Jackson, 13 grandchildren and her special friend; Darlene Davenport.
