Author. A highly respected 19th Century publisher, philologist, educator and writer, some of his more famous works include "Friday Afternoon Dialogues" (1879), "An Iron Crown" (1885), "The Man Behind" (1888), "My Invisible Partner" (1898) and "The Primitive Aryans of Mexico" (1908). He was born in Marshall County, West Virginia and also worked as a school teacher, miner and publisher. He lived in Chicago, Illinois and died in Hot Springs, Arkansas due to complications from "acute gastritis".  (bio by: Bigwoo)
