He married Madeleine Escale Feb. 8, 1877. They had seven children. The eldest became a priest Betharram and died as a missionary at Buenos Aires. A daughter, Bernadette, was born Jan. 19, 1880 and became an electrician. She married
Vincent Vital Camps (born Nov. 27, 1877 in Aux Angles, son of Jean Pierre Camps & Felicie Nadau) on Apr., 12, 1902.

Jean-Marie was widowed in 1890 and married a second time in 1896 and they had two children.
Jean-Marie is the only sibling of St. Bernadette to have living descendants.
