Lina (Nissila) Colalillo, grandma, 81, of Duluth, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 30, 1925 in Floodwood, Minn., to William and Edla (Salo) Nissila. She married Michael Colalillo, a Medal of Honor recipient, in November of 1945. She worked at Montgomery Wards for 21 years in the office and as a clerk. She also worked at Target as a cashier in the grocery dept. Lina enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading and taking care of her grandkids and her loving dog, Marley. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Joanne Colalillo; five sisters, and three brothers. Lina is survived by her husband, Michael; son, Al (Terry) of Hayward, Wisc.; daughter, Michele 'Shelly' (Rodger) Schneeberger of Meadowlands, Minn.; sister, Elsie (Sid) Johnson of Indiana; two grandchildren, Nick Bakken and Mike Colalillo; three great grandchildren, Mike Colalillo II, Daijia and Dilin Bakken. VISITATION:5 to 7 p.m. Friday in Dougherty Funeral Home and continuing 10 a.m. Saturday until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service all in Dougherty Funeral Home. Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery.
