Bonnie Jean Adams Kay
May 12, 1935 – April 14, 2017

ASHTON, IDAHO – Bonnie Jean Adams Kay passed away peacefully, April 14, 2017, after completing her earthly mission—returning home to her Heavenly Father and to a joyous reunion with her husband, children, and many other loved ones.

Bonnie was born May 12, 1935, in Warren, Weber County, Utah, to June J. Larsen Adams Hansen and Willis Joshua Adams. She was educated in her early years in South Dakota where many of her best friends were Sioux Indians while her father worked there with the Sioux Tribes as a social worker. She attended Brigham Young University for a few years until she was married. Her hobbies included cooking healthy meals, sewing, gardening, reading, BYU sports, and spending time with family.

Bonnie married Delbert Lee Kay in the Logan Temple on February 6, 1959. They were blessed with four girls. They lived in Roy, Utah; Burley, Idaho; and Clinton, Utah. After Delbert died in 1989, Bonnie lived in Roy and Warren, Utah, while working for the IRS and raising her youngest daughter Leslie. She has lived with and was lovingly cared for by daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Kenny Fowler for the last 15 years in Burley, Idaho, and recently in Ashton, Idaho.

Bonnie worked as a dental hygienist in Provo, Utah; as a secretary at King's Store in Burley, Idaho; and as a secretary at the IRS in Ogden for many years. Her biggest accomplishment was raising her daughters with her husband, following the principles and teachings of the gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also held various callings in the Church until prevented by her health.

She is survived by daughters Debra Jean (Kenny) Fowler of Ashton, Idaho; Jacci Lynn (William) McCune of Branch, Michigan; Nancy Jo (Paul) Cramer of Lafayette, Indiana; and Leslie Marie Kay of Phoenix, Arizona.

She is loved by her grandchildren Heather Jo (Jasey) Colunga, Brandon Lee Ramsey, Travis Glen (Contessa) Ramsey, Kodi Kay (Tim) Elison, Nikelle Jolynn (Shawn) Shively, Zachary Lee William Fowler, Vanessa Jo (Curt) Isenbarger, Logan Paul (Taylor) Cramer, Carlisa Johanna Cramer, Breanna Lee Cramer, Ryan Paul Cramer, Francisco Avila III, and Joshua Lee Avila.

She is survived by her sister Darlene Hughey of Roy; her brothers, Gary Milo (Wilma) Adams of Bountiful; Robert William (Carol) Adams of Kaysville; and Ronald Lee (Judy) Adams of Pleasant Grove.

Also surviving are one step-sister and one step-brother, Shanna (Melvin) Thompson of Clearfield; Wesley (LaRue) Hansen of Florida.

Hansen, two brothers Bruce and Jim Adams; step-sisters Myrelda Jan Hansen Taylor and Rhea Hansen Johnson; step-brothers Ernest and David Hansen; stillborn children Carol Ann 1962, Gregory Thomas 1965, and Randy Lee 1974; and stillborn granddaughters Kellie Jean 1982 and McKenzie Dawn Fowler 1989.
