Actress. Born Betty Jane Crowley, she had aspirations of becoming an actress at an early age and following graduation from high school, she received the title of "Miss New Jersey." This led to her earning a place as a finalist in the "Miss America Pageant," of which was held in Atlantic City. From this, she received a scholarship to attend the Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, for which led to her acquiring experience in summer stock productions. She made her television debut in an episode of the series "Robert Montgomery Presents" (1951) and two years later, she marked her film debut in the Western "The Silver Whip" (1953). Further motion picture credits include "City of Shadows" (1955), "Curse of the Undead" (1959), "The Rebel Set" (1959) and "Showdown" (1963). She will perhaps be remembered for her extensive work in television of which included multiple appearances on the programs "77 Sunset Strip", "Maverick", "Perry Mason" and "Batman." She retired from the entertainment industry during the early 1970s.
