Cynthia Louise (Haug) Amira was born in Santa Monica, December 29, 1948 and passed away on May 8, 2011 at her home in Beverly Hills. Always known as Cindy to her family and friends, she was the second of two children born to Lester and Betty Haug. She grew up in Westchester and attended Visitation Grammar School and St. Bernard's High School.

Throughout her life, she was devoted to her parents, her daughter, Amy, and her many lifelong friends. Cindy was the primary care giver for her father and mother in the later years of their lives, spending countless hours attending to their health and day to day needs.

She also served on the Board of Directors of ECCO Equipment Corporation, taking over the duties once held by her father who was a co-founder of the company. She took a deep interest in helping the company weather the recent recession.

Cindy is survived by her brother, Tim, and his family, her daughter, Amy, and many loyal friends. Cindy's kindness, generosity and love will live on in their hearts forever.

Her funeral mass will be held Tuesday, May 17, 11:30 am, at the Risen Christ Chapel, Holy Cross Mortuary, 5835 W. Slauson Avenue, Culver City.
