Samuel was the son of James Stroxtile and Mary Fegenbush. On 18 Oct 1930 he married Vernice Young and they had two sons, Samuel and James. He was a cab driver for the Buechel Cab Company. Samuel committed suicide but shooting himself with a 12-guage shotgun. His obituary stated that he had been in ill health. Samuel was 43.
