Florence M. Scholz, 70, of New Freeport, died Wednesday, July 9, 1980, at 3:15 a.m. in the Greene County Memorial Hospital. Although she had been in poor health, her death was unexpected.
She was born October 2, 1909, in Franklin township to the late Henry J. and Plessie Pitcock Morris.
On July 22, 1955, she married Max Scholz, who survives.
Mrs. Scholz was a homemaker. Prior to her marriage she had been employed by the Association for the Blind in Pittsburgh.
A former resident of Pittsburgh, she had lived in New Freeport since 1967. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church at Brave.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are one daughter, three grandsons, one granddaughter, four great-granddaughters and one sister.
A daughter, Johnette Thomas, and one brother, Henry J. Morris, are deceased.
