William was the son of William Comley and Leona Lehr. On 02 Mar 1946 he married Rosemund Huck and they had four children: Linda, Joyce, David and Steve. For 39 years he worked for Eli Lilly & Co., retiring in 1985 as a supervisor in the printing department. William died of cardiac arrest at St. Francis Hospital and Health Centers at the age of 71.
