Actor. Born Peter King Engle, he began his acting career with the Pasadena Community Playhouse in California, which brought him to the attention of the Warner Brothers Motion Pictures Studios. During the 1940s and 1950s he was cast in roles of villains, usually with brutish characteristics, before finding wider acclaim starring in television western series. He portrayed ‘Buck Sinclair’ in the ABC western series “The Rough Riders” from 1958 to 1959, and made numerous guest appearances in over two dozen more television shows.
