Mrs. Brenda Alice Scrivner was born in Alexandria, Virginia on January 2, 1947, to the late Elizabeth Barber and Willie Stokes. She attended Drew Elementary School in Arlington, VA, Huffman-Boston Junior High School in Arlington, VA, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, and Suitland Senior High School where she graduated in the 10th grade with honors.

Mrs. Scrivner married David Scrivner with whom she had 3 children. She was a devoted mother and cherished her kids. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and around friends, she was the life of the party. She never had a bad thing to say about anyone, and would always help someone in need. She enjoyed listening to music, singing and dancing. Her doors were always open to friends and family, with whom she enjoyed talking about "Old Times".

Brenda worked at several places including Wallis Supper Club, the Bryant Center, and Chevrolet, division of General Motors Corporation in Flint, Michigan.

Mrs. Scrivner leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters and 3 sons -- all of Flint; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, 3 brothers, and a host of other relatives, friends, and special friends.

Mrs. Scrivner was preceded in death by parents, Elizabeth Barber and Willie Stokes; husband, David Scrivner, and grandson, Richard Scrivner.
