Elmer Atchison, 88 of Eminence, died Thursday, June 11 at Homestead Nursing Center in Lexington.
He was a retired farmer, a native of Bath County, Kentucky and a member of the East Union Christian Church in Nicholas County.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. James (Minnie) Pollard of Pleasureville; four sons, W. R. Atchison, Eminence; Owen C. Atchison, Smithfield; Charles B. Atchison, Pleasureville; and Marvin Atchison, Smithfield; three brothers, Darrell Atchison, Robert Atchison, and Eugene Atchison, all of Paris, Kentucky; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, June 14 from Prewitt's New Castle, with Rev. Michael Duncan, pastor of the Eminence Baptist Church, officiating
Interment was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.
