Mr. Stowell was a banker who first worked at Union National Bank in Troy, New York, then joined his father at the firm of Henry Stowell and Son in the old Cannon Building. in 1912 the firm moved to 14 First Street.
He was an active Mason and an avid supporter of veterans.
He was survived by his wife Ann E. Stowell, a son Charles H. Stowell, Sr. and a grandson Charles H. Stowell, Jr.
