Stephen J. Paolantonio, 62, and lifelong resident of Wayne, PA died on at home on June 24 surrounded by his family.
At the time of his death, Stephen was a vice president at PNC Bank and Director of Community Relations at Villanova University.

Stephen's extensive community involvement included serving on the Radnor Township committees of the Planning Commission, Comprehensive Plan, Comprehensive Plan Implementation, Open Space and Charter Review. In addition, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Radnor Conservancy, President of the Radnor Township Library Board, and recipient of the League of Women Voters Civic Participation award.

When Stephen was not working or volunteering, he could be found bird-watching, playing tennis and shuffling their children every which way with his favorite blonde, his wife, Jacque. As a father, Stephen's list of accomplishments included attending 20 St. Katharine's May Processions, surviving eight Villa Maria prom seasons, enduring countless Sound of Music performances (in their house) and coming to the rescue at countless automotive mishaps. Stephen founded the SKS high school girls CYO basketball team and coached for nine years where no one could ever accuse him of being biased towards his children and, in fact, was on occasion even known to flat out tell the rest of the team not to pass to his daughters. With the odds stacked against them, Stephen taught his son the skills necessary to survive and thrive in a home where males were greatly outnumbered. Most importantly, Stephen was easily the most loving husband, father and Papa.

Stephen is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jacqueline, daughters Alex (Nick Pickard), Rory, Mary (Ian Adler), Maddie (Ryan Nassib), son Chris, and granddaughter Evie. Also, siblings David (Marguerite), Celia, Joe (Sue), and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his son, Stevie, and parents, Joseph and Lena.

We know he's already found Heaven's most secluded beach and has kicked back facing the ocean with a stogie and a cold Peroni.

A visitation will be held at St. Katharine of Siena Church in Wayne from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28. Funeral services will be at St. Katharine of Siena Church at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 29 followed by internment at Calvary Cemetery.
