Dies at Home of Daughter, Mrs. J. H. Gruber.
Philena McConnel, eighty-four years old, bed-fast for three years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. H. Gruber, four and one-half miles southeast of this city, at 5 o'clock Monday afternoon.
Mrs. McConnel was the widow of Boston McConnel and was born August 2, 1831, in Auglaize county. Since the death of her husband, forty-seven years ago, she had made her home with her children, who are Mrs. Sarah Mallory, of Findlay; Mrs. Lucy Zachman, of Gibsonburg; Mrs. Rosa Gruber, of this county, and Mrs. Abbie Reed, of Albion.
Funeral services will be held from the Gruber residence, tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. Mr. Kennedy, of Edison, officiating. Interment is to be made in the Marion cemetery."
