Tuesday of this week, John House, who has been a resident of Merrill since 1893, died at the age of 64 years, at his home in the Seventh ward. The deceased had been ailing for years and had been confined to his bed for months, with that dread disease consumption slowly sapping his life away and eventually causing his death. The funeral was held from the house yesterday, the services being conducted by Rev. T. W. North. There remain to mourn his loss, his wife and sons, Richard and Frank, residents of this city, and two sons residing in Canada.
