Faye had resided in the twin cities for most of her life. As a youth, she moved with her family to Escanaba, MI where she graduated from high school. Returning to Menominee, MI, she worked for Michigan Bell Telephone Co. until her marriage to W. Blaine Schahczenski on November 18th, 1950.
She was a wonderful homemaker to her husband and children. She was a longtime member of St. James Lutheran Church in Marinette and sang in the church choir for many years. Faye was an avid bridge player and had been very active in local bridge clubs. She also was a member of the locally famous "Birthday Club" and hosted with class and savvy the "Thirsty Thursday Social Club" with relatives and guest attendees.
Faye is survived by one son Gary (Mimi) Schahczenski and grand dog, "KC" of Marinette;
one daughter Carrie Brueggeman (fiancé, David Immelt) of Columbus, Ohio;
two grandsons: Anthony "Tony" and Tyler Brueggeman;
three brothers and a sister: John Krah (special friend Carolyn Strohm); Bill (Mary) Krah, Jr.; Darlene (Gary) Thyne and George (Pat) Krah;
many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Blaine; and a daughter Lori Jo.
Friends may call at St. James Lutheran Church in Marinette on Friday, July 7th, 2017, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Funeral services will follow with Chaplain Darrel Diers officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
