Arthur Feilchenfeld Sr., founder of Arthur's Hats, a chain of three loop hat stores, died suddenly of a heart attack Sunday night in his home at 5225 Greenwood Ave. He was 69 years old. Mr. Feilchenfeld was born in Berlin, Germany, and operated a grocery store in Hyde Park until he founded the hat business in 1903. He leaves a son Arthur Jr. and two daughters, Mrs. Violet Himmel and Mrz. Edward Hyman, all of Chicago.
