Linda was born in Bay City to Sylvester and Laura Jordan. She attended Columbia High School, then went out to Texas Women's University and El Centro College.

She married Rev Ocie Lee Brisby on December 21, 1968. Linda was a member of the Loving Fellowship Baptist Church. Her professional career was outstanding: 1970 Assisant Head Nurse, Flow Memorial Hospital, Denton; Charge Nurse at St Paul Hospital, Charge Nurse at the VA Medical Center, Childrens Medical Center, Dallas Public Health Department and 1978-1995 Nurse Consultant, Texas Department of Human Services.

Linda passed away on Thursday, November 6, 1997. Survivors, her husband, son Kevin; sister Yvonne, nephews James J., Thomas, and Dawn Gentry. One grandnephew, five grandnieces and a host of friends and other relatives.

Pallbearers: Rev Andrew Brumsey, Rev Dan Miles, Don Burrell, Billy Kirtdoll, Gary Jobe and James Garrett.
