Arthur retired from the Green Croft Club in Ivy, VA., after many years of service. He was predeceased by his mother Dorothy Harris and one sister Audrey "Lu-Lu" Harris and his dog, Maxwell.

Arthur is survived by four sisters; Edna M. Harris, Tajuanna L. Harris, Tonya E. Armstrong, and Mercele A. Collins, one loving brother, Melvin Harris; four children, Ohmar Shabazz, Marcus Magruder, and Betty Harris, all of Charlottesville, VA., and Val Brown of Philadelphia, and a host of other family and friends.

Arthur was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. A memorial service was held at Union Run Baptist Church, in Keswick, VA. with the Reverend Ricky White.
