Mrs. Alice Carr of Arcata died in a Eureka hospital Tuesday afternoon. She was a native of Eureka and was born here September 15, 1890. She was employed as a cook until her retirement 25 years ago.
She is survived by sons, Ivan Carr, Arcata, Allen Carr, Ettersburg, Elton Carr, Lytonville, Charles Carr, Santa Rosa; brothers, Delbert Harrow, Leslie Harrow, Ettersburg, Earl Harrow, Eureka, John C. Harrow, Forestville; sisters, Mrs. Effie Hanson, Ettersburg, and Mrs. Birdie Watson, Arcata. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. in Pierce Mortuary with Dr. James M. Brown officiating. Concluding services at Ocean View Cemetery.

Allie's husband died September 30, 1926, at the age of 44 in Humboldt County, CA.
By 1930, Allie (widowed) was living in Eureka with her four sons and a roomer, Frank L. Kehoe. Allie and Frank Kehoe were married about 1937 and, in 1940, were living in Eureka. None of Allie's children were living at home.
Alice's mother died April 5, 1939, at the age of 73 in Sonoma County, CA.
