James spent his entire life in the McAllister area except for his service with the United States Air Force from 1946 to 1948. He worked for the Boilermakers Union for 30 years and retired in 1990. He was also known around the area for his Christmas tree lot.
He would always look forward to talking to everyone and as his health started to fail, it was hard for him to get to visit with his friends that had been coming to see him every Christmas for many years. Jim always loved to be with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and tried to remember all of their birthdays.
His pastime was playing solitaire and keeping up on his garden. He loved the Packer games and also Badgers. He loved to have company and you could stop over anytime for a cup of coffee and a cookie.
James is survived by his wife of 66 years, Beatrice (nee Hill);
