My Uncle Pat was a good person inside and out. His deep devotion to his faith was amazing. He was, what I thought, a perfect Catholic. He followed the teachings of Jesus Christ everyday. He never preached or judged. He was just an awesome person to have around. He was wounded in Vietnam and received the Purple Heart. Because of his injury, he could not work. But that was a good thing. We would tease him that he was way to busy to work. And he was. Busy helping anyone who needed a helping hand. He taught me how to be a good person and many, many other life lessons. He was a second father to me.
