MRS. A, J. PUCKERIDGE,

The deceased, who was the wife of Mr. Albert James Puckendge, fireman of the tug Forster, had been in failing health for some months past, and three weeks prior to her demise she was taken to the metropolis for treatment. Despite every care and attention, her weakened condition . did not enable the system to respond to the best of nursing and medical skill, and in the presence of her relatives she passed quietly away to the Great Beyond shortly after mid-day on Thursday. The deceased was the eldest daughter of the late Murdoch Mcintosh, and of Mrs. Elizabeth Mcintosh, of Forstets her father being one of the pioneers of this part of the State. She was born at Forster 46 years ago, and has since resided here. By all her acquaintances she was warmly regarded as a friend, ever ready to give practical- help wherever it was wanted, and her sphere of usefulness in that way was never sought in vain. The sympathy with her relatives was well exemplified by the large cortege that followed the remains to their last resting place at Forster Cemetery on Saturday afternoon, the body having been brought by rail from Sydney that morning. The interment was made in Church of England, section, and the Rev. C. W.. Nichols officiated at the graveside. The casket was Covered with many beautiful floral tokens sent by loving and sympathetic friends, the total of the floral designs being 67, and the services of a motor car were requisitioned to convey most of them. In addition to her husband, the deceased is survived by two grown up children: Mrs. Poison, of Sydney, -and Mr. Bert Puckeridge, of Forster.
