NOTE:
Per his wishes, no descendants past his granddaughter, Kellie would be listed in the actual obituary. Additions for genealogy purposes only would be that he is also survived by a granddaughter in Germany named Conny and a great-grandson in Germany named Dennis. Also, one great-grandson: Clifford, one great-great grandson: Gage and preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Nicole. Paul was unaware of his granddaughter, Conny and her son, Dennis. It wasn't until after his death that they were discovered.

Dad, the most private man I have ever met, never left the house without his hat, was very punctual and expected you to be as well. He loved farming and going to the auctions to buy and sell tractors. At home, he enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, horseshoes and playing cards while waiting for home-cooked meals. He did not enjoy eating out in restaurants much but did like Bob Evans. He also enjoyed his telephone to call the weather, time and check on the stock market several times a day. Dad also enjoyed going for rides and explaining what was planted in the fields, where the Indian trails are located, visiting the cemeteries and just enjoyed the scenery. He sure will be missed by many including the staff at Bowling Green Manor where he has resided the last four years. He felt the staff was his family and I know the feeling is mutual. He attended church every Sunday as long as he could and had a deep faith who believed we all have crosses to bear. He would not say, "I love you" so one could only assume. Because of that, to this day I say, " Big hugs" and he would reply the same. So, to you, Dad Aring, big hugs and May God Bless you and the Aring family during this time of sadness. He was my father-in-law, but to me he was my Dad. Sleep in peace Dad, God is holding you tonight.
