Lincoln Police have identified two teenagers killed when a train hit their car early Friday morning as Yankiel Rodriguez and Emanuel Martinez. Both were 17.
Rodriguez and Martinez were seniors at Lincoln Southwest High School and both had previously attented Lincoln High.
Police say their southbound car went around the crossing arm and the vehicle was hit by the westbound train.
The crash happened around 12:30 a.m.
No one on the train was hurt. Investigators say there were nearly 300 people aboard.
The collision happened near south Folsom and west South Street.
