She graduated from Abraham Agricultural College in Tifton, with an Associates Degree in Nursing. She went on to become a Registered Nurse and worked many years at Tift Regional Medical Center. Mrs Joyce Cherry, had a profound love for children and went on. To become a substitute teacher for the Tift County School System.
She was preceded in death by her father: Willie Marshall, Sr.
Joyce's memories will be cherished by her mother: Ruby Lee Brown. Her sisters: Brenda Henry and Royce Ann Cherry. Her Brothers: Willie (Sabien) Marshall, Jr. of Ceisse, Germany, Wilbert Cherry, Willie Copland, Victor Blackman, George Yates. Her aunt and uncle: Lavelle Brown and Don Brown, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other sorrowing relatives.
