Pioneer Industrialist, Auto Racer. With his brother Louis he founded the Renault company of automakers in 1899 and drove their cars in some of the world's earliest sponsored races. He was killed in a crash on a run from Paris to Madrid. Louis Renault is buried in Herqueville in Normandy.
