A. C. RUCKER, 78, IS DEAD AT VETS' HOME Confederate Soldier "Was Attorney Here for Forty Years. Alexander C. Rucker, 78 years old, a Confederate veteran and a Louisville attorney for forty years, died at 11:35 o'clock last night at the Confederate Home at Pewee Valley, where he had resided for several years. He was a native of Tennessee and joined the Confederate Army there during the Civil War. Mr. Rucker was a member of the Louisville Literary Club, the Theosophical Society, and Alcyone Lodge of Co-Masonry. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Anna M. Rucker; two sons, Edmund P. Rucker of Louisville and Oliver H. Rucker of Omaha: three daughters, Mrs. Hanun Gardner ot Gulfport, Miss. Mrs. Lawrence Turnock of Pittsburgh, and Mrs. A. M. Bird of Puerto Rico. The body will be taken to Cincinnati for cremation, but arrangements for the funeral here have not been made.
