MRS. LOUIS KIPPING PASSES AWAY; RITES TO BE HELD MONDAY
Mrs. Augusta Kipping, widow of Louis Kipping, died of a heart ailment at 10:30 o'clock Friday night at her home, 302a Broadway. She had been failing in health for several months, but her condition became serious only early this week.
The body was removed to the Brinkopf-Howell Funeral Home and will be taken to Trinity Lutheran Church, of which she was a member, at 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon. Funeral services will be conducted there at 2:30 o'clock by the pastor, Rev. F. H. Melzer.
Mrs. Kipping, who was 80 years old, was born march 25, 1862 in Stetton, Germany. She was reared in that country and came to the United States when she was 19 years old. She had resided in Cape County 53 years. She was first married to Wm. Niemeier, who died in 1900. She was married later to John Foeste, who succumbed in 1920 and then to Mr. Kipping who died in October 1940. She resided in the Hanover and Tilsit Communities for several years, but for about the past 20 years had lived in Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Kipping is survived by a daughter, Mrs. E. A. Wielpuetz of Cape Girardeau; two sons, E. A. Niemeier of Centralia, Ill. and Herbert Niemeier of El Paso, Texas.a sister, Mrs. Wm. Schirmer of St. Louis; three stepsons, Theodore Kipping and Charles and Martin Foeste of Cape Girardeau; 8 stepdaughters, Mrs. J. C. Rudert, Mrs. H. A. Aufdenberg and Miss Marie Kipping of Cape Girardeau, Mrs. A. M. Lohman of Perryville,; Mrs. J. A. Schaper of Jackson, Mrs. Clinton Coyert of St. Louis, Mrs. John Kramer of Neelys Landing and Mrs. Henry Kramer of near Lowndes. 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She had made her home in Cape Girardeau since Mr. Kipping's death with Miss Marie Kipping.
