Mr. Mellott, before moving to Ohio eight years ago, lived on the Fraker farm near Hustontown, where he made many friends. He was ever kind and courteous and always ready and willing to help a neighbor or friend. He leaves many friends in this county to mourn his early departure from this world.
Mr. Mellott was united in marriage to Agnes Mellott, who with his mother, Mrs. Susan Mellott, and the following children survive: John, of Mercersburg; Clarence, of Ellsworth, Ohio; LeRoy of Youngstown, Ohio, and Fred, Raymond, Robert, and May at home. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Chas. H. Stenger, of McConnellsburg, and two brothers, Isaac, of Wells Tannery, and Silas, of Laidig, Pa., and eight grand children.
Mr. Mellott was a recent convert to the Pentacostal curch and died in faith of a Heavenly reward. His remains were brought to the home of Chas. H. Stenger of McConnellsburg, from which place burial took place, Wednesday forenoon, with services at Siloam M.E. Church, Rev. E.J. Croft of Fort Loudon, Pa., officiating. Interment was made in the Siloam cemetery.
