Gerry graduated from the Hamot School of Nursing in 1950 and worked as a registered nurse for several hospitals and nursing homes. She was an active member of St. George Parish for many years, and along with her husband Robert, was an active member of the Miracle Mile Senior Club.
She was preceded in death by a toddler son, Daniel; her brothers, Robert Johnson, Donald Johnson; and sisters, Priscilla Johnson and Natalie Mayer.
She is survived by one daughter, Diane Kolaja (Mark) of Spartansburg, Pa.; five sons, David Kubiak (Natalie) of Erie, Dennis Kubiak (Joni) of Dover, Pa., Donald Kubiak (Denise) of Erie, Dana Kubiak (Paula) of Erie, and Douglas Kubiak of Erie; 14 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren with number 11 due to arrive any day.
Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
