Anna Margrethe Wilhelmsen arrived in the United States on April 18th, 1904 aboard the SS Hellig OLAV.

She met Ludvig "Louie" Sorensen who arrived on the SS Hellig OLAV April 10th, 1903. They married on October 8th, 1904 in Brooklyn, NY.

At the time of their naturalization application in 1937 they had 6 children. Abrheam "Abraham", Ludvig "Louie" Jr., Agnes, Leif, Arne, George.
