Robert, also known as Jerry Lee Scott, was the son of Gustave Robert and Ruth Ann (Henderson) Holmin.

He entered enlisted in the Air Force in January, 1949.

Robert and Patricia Ann Steel-Cassidy were married on March 6, 1951, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. After their marriage they lived in Idaho, moving to the Hoquiam area in 1969.

He worked in shake mills, at the Half Dollar Tavern, Ocean Spray and the Hoquiam Eagles.

His wife, Patricia preceded him in death in 2011. Also preceding him in death were four daughters, Cindy Holmin, Babbette Holmin, Carol Christenson and Elsie Boyer; one son, Robert Holmin, Jr.; and three grandchildren.

At the time of his death he was survived by three sons and a grandson he raised as a son, three daughters, a brother, sister, 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements were by the Coleman Mortuary, 422 – 5th Street in Hoquiam.
