Janet L. Emrick, 91, of Brookville and formerly of Lewisburg, OH, died Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at her residence. Born on November 8, 1925 in Lewisburg, OH, she was the daughter of the late Everett J. & Susan L. (Schlotterbeck) Bierly. Janet worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton from 1970-1976 in the billing office. She was a 1943 Lewisburg Union High School graduate, member of the Order of Eastern Star for over 60 years, Lewisburg Historical Society and Preble County Historical Society. Member of the First United Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by a Daughter: Beverly Ann Emrick in 1952; Son: Joel Dean Emrick in August 2017; Sister: Ruth Marie Kehr in 1994; Brother: Harold Eugene Bierly in 1988.
Survived by her Husband of 70 years: Richard D. Emrick; Daughters: Brenda (Jerry) Motter and Nancy (Kevin) Cook; Daughter-in-law: Judy Emrick; Grandchildren: Jessica, Jody, Justin, Marc, Sherilyn, Dianna, Katherine and Amber, 9 Great Grandchildren; Nieces & Nephew.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:00 P.M at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, OH with Rev. David O. Justis officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. 1:00 P.M. with Eastern Star Service at 12:45 P.M.
