Lovingly known as Chick.

Son of Herbert J. and Helen (nee Karl) Engelhardt. Herbert and Lillian were married Aug. 1, 1940. Father of Herbert K. (passed 2009)(Sharon Baum), Michael W.(Lynn Mitsis), Ruth A. (Edward) Madar. Brother of: Verna (Sis) and William J. Grandfather of Douglas Engelhardt, Jason Engelhardt, Scott Madar, Brandon Madar and Lori Duncan. G-grandfather of: Colin, Tristin, Brenden Engelhardt, James Engelhardt, Corey and Ryan Madar and Alex Duncan. Chick grew up during the depression and didn't have much. He served in WWII from April 1943 - Oct. 1945. He was an auto painter by trade. He was a gentle man with a good sense of humor and loved by all. He didn't want much out of life other then to be able to eat his dinner while reading the newspaper in peace and quiet without the kids fighting. He is remembered by his nieces and nephews for making ice cream sodas. Will always miss you, Dad.
