Cleo Bond-Gilmore, 100, Marion, passed away at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007, in the emergency room at Marion General Hospital.

Born July 28, 1906, in Ohio City, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Leonard (Rishler) Rizor.

Twice married, she first married Russell L. Bond in December 1925 and he died in February 1935. She later married Bert I. Gilmore in April 1946, and he died January 1977.

She retired in 1971 after many years as a sales person at JC Penney's, then retired in 1994 from nutrition site in Marion. She was a member of Prospect Street United Methodist Church, charter member American Legion Post 584 (62 years), former member of Wesley United Methodist Church, trustee at Chapel Heights Memory Garden, formerly worked at Marion Depot, Crawbaugh's, Marion Steam Shovel and operated Bond's Grocery Store on West Center Street.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty (Louis) Hughes, Marion, Marlene Manley, Marion; a son, Richard (Connie) Bond, Marion; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Bond, a brother, William Rizor, a sister, Wanda Denny, a son-in-law, Pete Manley, a grandson, Russell Bond and one great-granddaughter, Mandy Kruder
