Horace Grant Page, who went by his middle name, was the youngest of eight children born to James Page and Maria Hardesty. He married Alice D. Carter on October 31, 1886. He received his Physician's License on February 20, 1891, after graduating with a degree of Doctor of Medicine from the Curtis Physio-Medical Institute in Marion, Grant County, Indiana. Grant and Alice had four children.
