Ernest Barnard died at Mennonite Hospital on 10/17/1949.
Mr. Barnard was born in Money Creek township April 20, 1883. He married Blanche Stephens June 5, 1907 in Lexington. She preceded him in death. He attended Trimmer Grade School and Lexington High School and had spent his entire life on the farm north of Towanda. He had retired from farming.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Lobdell, Mrs. Jayne Freed, one sister, Mrs. W. B. Eaton, one brother Leonard Barnard, 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A son and the parents, Mrs. and Mrs. J.M. Barnard, preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Hudson Baptist Church and Odd Fellows Lodge, No. 620.
