Major League Baseball Player. He was a left handed pitcher for 11 seasons with the Cleveland Indians, 1909 to 1915 and the Detroit Tigers, 1916 to 1919. He was most noted for being the first American League pitcher to strike out Babe Ruth. He ended his career with 84 wins, 92 lost, 921 strikeouts and a 2.88 earned run average.
