Crime Figure. He was convicted of killing 23 year-old Terry Lee Chasteen as well as her three children, Misty (age 5), Steven (age 4) and Mark (age 2). Approximately two hours later, mushroom hunters discovered the bodies of Terry Lee and Misty in the shallow waters of White Lick Creek. The two boys were later discovered downstream. After his arrest, Judy proved to be a cold, calculating killer, showing no remorse for what he had done. He readily confessed to the murders, and during his trial, indicated to the jury that if he were freed, he would kill again. At the trial, Judy's violent past came up. A week before he killed Terry Lee Chasteen, he was arrested for armed robbery. Judy had been earlier evaluated at the Central State Hospital, and was declared to be a sexual psychopath; yet despite that diagnosis, he was considered sane and knew right from wrong. Judy was found guilty of four counts of first-degree murder, under aggravating circumstances, and was executed in the electric chair at the Indiana State Prison on March 9, 1981.
