Florrie was very nice and did a lot of the housework and cooking at 1449 N. 29th St. Sadly, she did not complain when she got sick and hesitated in getting medical attention. When her mother took her to a doctor, it was too late. She died of carcinoma of right breast (breast cancer). Throughout the early morning hours of October 2, 1948 she sat in the living room chair and suffered but wanted to be left alone. She died at 8:55 a.m.
