Banker. The son of a wealthy Chinese family, he was one of three sons and three daughters of businessman and missionary Charlie Soong. Two of his three sisters achieved fame in their own right: One became Madame Sun Yat-sen; another became Madame Chiang Kai-shek. Soong was successful in banking in both Hong Kong (as chairman of the Bank of Canton) and San Francisco. Cause of death: stroke
