"Clarence Alstad, 70, Cloquet, died Wednesday in the Cloquet hospital. He was a retired Northwest Paper Co. employee. Surviving are his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Marilyn, New York City, and a son, James, Grand Rapids. Private services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Cloquet Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are by Barr Brothers Funeral Home."
