Hall of Fame Professional Hockey Player. One of the pioneers of the modern game, his seven year career as a defenseman was spent as part of the Montreal HC of the Canadian Amateur Hockey League and the Montreal Wanderers of the Federal Amateur Hockey League. In 1902 and 1903 he was part of the Montreal HC club that won back-to-back Stanley Cup championships. After he retired in 1903, he assumed the managership of the Montreal Wanderers, leading the team to four Stanley Cup titles from 1907 to 1910, and heading the team until it folded operations in 1918. He was inducted into the Professional Hockey Hall of Fame in 1952.
