She was born December 21, 1929 at Farnam, NE, daughter of Roy and Lena (Knoedler) Heath. She grew up in the Farnam area and graduated from Farnam High with the class of 1945.
She married Dean Reynolds on August 7, 1953, at Cozad and they made their home on the Reynolds family farm north of Farnam. The couple had four children: Scott, Monte, Toni and Brett. Scott and Brett both passed away at a very early age. Phyllis spent many years teaching in both rural schools and in the Farnam School system. She was the town librarian for a while. Phyllis served on the Farnam History Committee and spent many hours as the Editor of the "From These Beginning, We Grew" book that was published in 1982. She was devoted to her family and a caregiver to her daughter Toni. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and making homemade goodies for her friends and neighbors. Phyllis lived on the farm until her health failed and she moved to Cozad Care & Rehab.
Surviving are son, Monte Reynolds of Farnam, NE, sister-in-law, Evelyn Heath, along with extended nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
