Newton, Ill. - Mrs. Alvena Amelia Byers, who formerly lived near Charleston, died a few days ago at the home of her daughter, Mrs. V. A. Jones, in this city. Mrs. Byers had made her home with Mrs. Jones for some time. She was 69 years old.
The funeral was held here. Burial was at Charleston.
